      Yes. This can be accomplished by going to the St. Clair County web site and go to the pay screen.
 

Is it possible to view my property on line?

      Yes. Go to the website and click on GIS/Mapping and follow the instructions.
 

Are property values in St. Clair County declining?

     No, not on an over all basis.  However, some areas have declined a little. Values are based on sales and although there are not as many sales in the past couple of years compared to previous years, the sales prices are staying pretty level.
 

Since I am over 65, am I automatically exempt from paying property taxes?

     The exemption is based on income. If your prior year federal tax return had a taxable income amount of $7500 or less (Line 43 on 1040) and your state return (on Line 10)  was $12,000 or under you are totally exempt on your homestead.  If those amounts are more you are exempt on your state tax only.
